Looking for old fantasy-type game from 80's

I used to play a great game when I was really young. I think it is an RPG game and is based in a fantasy world. I remember it starts with your character in a tree house, then you move down ladders and I think you head underground. There is some sort of quest to fulfill and you can collect stuff. It could be called Root World....
Kind of vague I know, but can anyone help me out?

I found the game...Its called Under the Root and it was actually for Apple (shows how long ago I played it). Thanks for your help guys.
