There are quite a few playable demo versions of DOS flight simulators actually, but only several shareware versions. Very often the format is a hybrid playable & self-running demo, in some cases with the ability to switch into interactive mode in-flight.

NOTE: Apparently you need to disable EMS in DOSBox settings to make it run properly.

Thanks for the suggestions! I added all games to my list, so they will be added in the near future. Adding new games moved down a little on my priority list, since I'm working behind the scenes on some cool new features.

Great to know that

Added a download link for JetFighter III demo v1.31 (originally found at FilePlanet). Earlier demo versions have this annoying "expiration date" issue which does not allow to play the missions the pretext of a newer version being available.
