Is it possible to get this game working
properly anywhere out of pure DOS? Under both Win98 and WinXP, the sound and music make just a big mess!
Under WinXP with VDMSound, the mess somewhat eased, but half of the phrases are still incoherent. Is there a way to make the gameplay speed a sound quality as was
supposed?
HELP!!!

Nope, EraserSSAU - you are not the only one. I have kept this game over the years hoping that I could someday figure out how to play it again in Win 98SE and also now in Win 2000.
My IT guy at work suggested something about "porting it out from within windows" but I didn't really understand him.
I am TRUELY interested in playing this game again.

I found the solution! Though not an excellent one
The way is:
1. Run the game with VDMSound;
2. When speed'n'sound glitching starts, switch to desktop via ALT-Tab;
3. Call Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-Del) and change the NTVDM process priority to somewhat in the area of average, above or below average. Wait for some time.
4. Switch back to game - it is as it should be!!!
And the only problem is
5. Repeat as necessary
It can be quite annoying to repeat the procedure for many times, especially if you get killed often.
The longer you wait, the better the results (about a minute in desktop gives enough time of proper work to pass a level).
Any suggestions to improve my methodics?

There's a new problem, though.
In the 15th level (engeneering network, where you should shoot red hexagons) there is a place at which the game consistently crashes.
Is that a bad copy, or something else?
