name of a pc game [pea shootin' pete]

So, there is this PC game where you are a kid and there are bouncing balls of different sizes, and you shoot up and the balls split into 2 smaller ones until they dissapear, it's about 15-20 years old.
I think is a popular game, but can't find it anywhere, im not looking for a download link just the name.
