Parser adventure from movie Big [Cavern of the Evil Wizard]

In the beginning of the Tom Hanks movie Big Josh as a kid is playing a game where he types melt wizard or something in the parser. Was this a real game?

Oh I guess it was Cavern of the Evil Wizard and it was made just for the movie...
