doesn't this just mean that all our warez'd copies are now legal?
or something else?

I think it's like GTA (freeware and commercial version, nearly identical), but I'm not sure. You could always e-mail Revolution.

I've never heard of BaSS... I must be a DOS newbie.

The website where BASS is up for download lists two versions, a CD version [60-something MB] or a floppy version [7 MB]. Which should I download? Is the CD version worth the time?
Edit Note: I seem to have discovered a small bug in the smileys. I originally used parentheses rather than brackets for the file size listings which caused them to look like this: (7 MB) I doubt this usually causes much trouble, but I thought I'd mention it.

The CD version has voice acting, which is worth it to me.

Homz: Disable Smileys B) or put some tag in between them, like:

I spend 2 or 3 more hours dowloading just for voice acting? I think I'm getting the Floppy version... Unless there's anything else.

Why don't you just leave the computer on overnight?
There's nothing else special though.

That's the point. At least I can't wait dozens o' hours before I can install. Better a small zip which has only the game that another that has CD musics and videos too. (Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!)

Gamehippo gave BASS the red circle of doom (i.e. violent content).
Can anyone tell me exactly what sort of "content" violent or otherwise there is in the game?

Strip clubs, video clips showing explicit sexual intercourse, mutilation, perversion, and Sodomy to name a few things... just get it already, dude! You won't regret it.

And the death screen is pretty graphic.

Really?
Actually, I think I will regret it. I take my religion very seriously. Just violence would be fine, but porn is off-limits for me. Oh well. I'll look for something else to play. Does anyone know of some good point-and-click games? (whether free or not)

Any Kings Quest title, 5 & 6 are the best though, Sam and Max hit the road, and Secret of Monkey Island are all good, though I'm prety sure none of them are freeware. And also, the above excludes 8 which isn't really a point and click adventure at all.

Homz: Are you for real, man? Of course there's no porno, it's not an erodic game. (and if it was porno, you wouldn't find a link to it here) I was just joking with you about that... get it, it really is a good game.

Heh. I believed you DB. Must be a Canadian thing, we're not used to being lied to by higher authorities.
