Old Game - Nitro

I used to play an old game I believe it was called Nitro.

It was a race in 2D with four little cars, but the best part was the shopping.

You could buy a new better engine, new tires new brakes and new box men.

The brakes had four levels and each one shows an animation of the performance, the first level the car falls down the ravine, and the fourth the man goes through the windshield.

There was a track called Ice Baby.

You could pick up some nitros during the race and you also had to stop to refuel the car.

Help me find it!

I did a search on Mobygames and the game listed as "Nitro" was (according to Mobygames) only released for Amiga and Atari ST computers:

So you should search around sites providing games for those systems and use an emulator if you want to play it.

Thank you but that is not the game, the graphics are like mid 90's, much better than the graphics of that game.

How much better? By 2D did you mean top-down like the aforementioned game (or Micro Machines). Either way, my first thought was this.

Off Road would be my bet also, since the NOS boost is such a key part of the game.

In the shop you can buy engine and shows animations for each piece.

You can also buy brakes, that shows the car braking and falling down the ravine with the first brakes and the man going through the car front windshield with the best brakes.

You can also by faster box repair men.

Off road is definitely not the game, although I like it too.

omg Im searching for this game as well... the 2d animation was good... kind of like DonkeyKong or something like that. Please if any reference about it let us know
