DOS black box keeps popping up

Post by Guest »

Hi, I made the mistake of using CD game Hunting Trophy. I uninstalled it, but a DOS black box keeps popping up after I boot the PC. How do I get rid of the DOX message box?

You don't say what operating system you are running.

Something has been added to your system's start up routine.

Check under Start, Programs, StartUp. If there's anything there you don't need or recognise then right-click and delete it.

We can't go further than this without interfering with system files. But try going to Start, Run and typing in "msconfig" (without the quotes) and hitting OK. Go to the StartUp tab and uncheck anything you dont need or recognise one item at a time. Then reboot after each change and see if it's fixed it.

Let us know if this is no help.[/b]
