by DOSBox PSP control prob
Hello,

I just downloaded DOSBox PSP and somehow managed to get Castlevania to work. But I can't quite figure out how to control the other games so I thought someone could help me out.
What I'm looking for is the PC Buttons of the following games:
Commander Keen 1, 2, 3
Mega Man 1, 3
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Just the buttons like what you have to press on the pc to jump, shoot, use the pogo stick or bring up the menu.
I hope someone can tell me these stuff as I know how to configure the controls, but without the knowledge of what does what, it's kinda hard to do it.

Thanks in advance.

Long list, me don't like lists ... :blah:

BTW, why don't you do your own donkeywork and look up that stuff yourself?
All those games you mention are easy to find and to run on a PC....... get on it friend.

A hungarian keyboard which is a pain in the ass to use with DOSBox so I can't even configure the thing (2 years ago I somehow managed to do it, but not nowadays) is probably the reason me not wanting to do hell-a lot of stuff just to get the games to work on something I'm not even going to use so after that I could reconfigure the controls on my PSP. I guess that's reason enough to ask someone with an already configured PC DOSBox to be as kind to check it out for me?
Also, my netbook can't run these games without DOSBox so it's no good.
Also: lol, totally got my username wrong the last time.

Well, I actually searched for the games, and managed to get the controls for the Commander Keen games, but the rest is quite hard to find.
I think I'll try out the Commander Keen controls for the rest of the games and maybe try stuff like left or right alt/control or something like that.

1. thanks for the link, I didn't know about this stuff.
2. as a guest, you can type in a name. But from knowledge from other forums, I'm used to entering the name of the topic to where I write my name here as a guest. So I typed "DOSBox PSP control prob" as a name at my first post.
Also: Mega Man 1 and 3 is kinda impossible to play on the PSP becuz you have to use a lot of buttons. Like if you want to select Volt Man weapon, you have to press "V". In Mega Man 3, you have 9 Robot Masters. This means 9 weapons plus your original Mega Buster. Out of the 12 buttons you can use, it's pretty hard to get the games to work properly. Runs a bit too fast too.
Commander Keen games works like magic as well as Castlevania.

Can't you lower the cycles a bit? Eventually set them lower in dosbox conf file.

It's not that easy on the PSP... or wait, as far as I can see it's like, totally impossible. It's not THAT bad actually and I just wanted to try out Mega Man, but it sucks anyway, so I'll stick with Commander Keen. None can top those games.

You have a dosboxconf file.
In that dosbox conf file there is a section about cpucycles.
Maybe you don't know how to edit that file on a PSP, but yes, it's possible to do , but even if you really don't know you can edit the file on your PC and copy it to the PSP.
You can even create several game config files and choose between them via [autoexec] when running dosbox on the PSP.
Or add a batch file in the game directory. (Almost everything can be tuned via batch files in dosbox)

Anyway, we ain't a PSP forum, maybe ask for further instructions/help on a PSP forum?
