So yes i have dosbox and all my other games work fine
i usually mount c ~/games/ (insert game name here)
the i ...
C:\
for c drive and then i say
C:\dir
for directory and game usually works but for some reason not on the games listed above. when i look at directory and the choose the .exe file all i get is a screen that asks "[drive entry] which drive to install to?"
i am pretty much clueless at this point someone please help me out! and i'm new to this so basic steps would be appreciated thanks!

Much better then anything you'll find on youtube.

Tried what?
The link I gave you...?
Listen chris m, it works like this:
1: One game at the time, yes?
2: You will need to be more elaborate, I can only know what you're up against if you -(yes:YOU)- give some detailed info.
3: It's pretty clear by now you screwed up somewhere, but I can't help you figure out where if you aren't a bit more talkative.

" when i look at directory and the choose the .exe file all i get is a screen that asks "[drive entry] which drive to install to?" "
Some older games require that you install them after you unzip them. Just follow through with the install process (ie, choose a drive, then a directory, etc). After the install is complete, run the new .exe in the new folder that was created for the game.

ok so i downloaded dosbox all over again after deleting it so i am again at square one with your help.
![Happy :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
I tried the link that you sent me step by step and ran into something that said like" my file or drive could not be found" so now i'm hoping you can take me through it step by step. I now have dosbox and the games at square one like i said, as if i just downloaded them and tried nothing!

When did you get that message?
Also, a screenshot may be helpful here, CTRL+F5 to take a screenie.
You'll find the screenie in the start menu dosbox items under 'extras'

Use one of those.
To post the link, use some spaces, as guest you can't post links directly, something as:
h t t p :\whatever link.com
