Text Adventure

I have been looking for a certain text adventure game for quite awhile now.I have forgotten the name,but the game involves an estate of a long dead family,a graveyard,and you move around the estate,in and outside of the mansion.There are "ghosts" of dead relatives and I think clues one has to pick up,as well as items.I also remember an old man and a boat in a lagoon or similar place that is supposed to take the player away,but he wants something or a certain clue.
Does anybody have any idea what game this is?It would be greatly appreciated because I'm building a computer dedicated to old DOS games.

did you start with a shotgun? or a ghost with a shotgun or summin like that near the start of the game?

that's the one i was thinking that you were thinking of... but the one I am thinking of had a blue background and was 100% text.

maybe it wasnt blue.... but i DO think it had yellow text... or was it blue text, or grey text... gah
