There is an ongoing topic in the science world.... Is glass a liquid or a solid. Dont jusrt say solid, it is liquid. Look it up. Whatyou think it is?

because the molecules move faster than solids and atoms are more compact, like liquids (or something like that). Anyway, I'm not into scientific crap, so I say it's a solid

I'm not currently set up to read PDF files, and I don't feel like downloading anything for it right now...

Anyway, I say that it depends on your definition of solid. Is the term solid used to describe an object whose atoms don't jump around as much as... well... a liquid? Or is the term used to describe something that is free-standing with an absolute shape?

Technicality, I say.

Science says glass is a liquid, because it flows, just slowly. But, I don't give a damn what the hell science says, glass is enough of a solid for me.

Way back when I was in school and my pet dinosaur walked to school with me, my teacher told me that glass was a liquid. This debate must have been going on a very long time.

my book written by a Dr. Karl Kruselnicki of australia defines glass as a solid, but a solid that will eventually flow. in ten million years, a 1m-tall pane of glass will shrink by 1 cm.

Glass is melted sand. It is melted down at about 3000 degrees until it is gooey, then it is molded into a glass pane and remains "almost dry". Either way, it doesn't really matter.

The only problem with that is gravity is a strong enough force to shatter it into bazillions of tiny pieces. Now THAT'S really breakable glass.
