DOSGames.com Site Update February 20 2010

Post by emmzee »

From the front page:
No, the site is not dead! :) I added 11 new games today: Blackthorne (demo), Bolo Ball, Cavequest, Dungeon, Ladder Man 3, Magic Crayon, Maze Runner, Need for Speed (demo), Scavenger, Tri, and TRON. Download them from the Newest Additions page.

Eh... no offense but according to emmzee's official rating of 4/10 and screen shot of the game at dosgames.com doesn't appear to be much of a game... but I respect your taste and will give it a go.

I have the distinct feeling that among many, many, many other things, Santosh never heard of TRON... :blah:

Ladder Man 3 [...] If episode one and two of this game exist somewhere, they are not readily available.
At least the first Ladder Man of Soleau Software is available at cd.textfiles.com:

No matter! :) While we are at it...
Zipman 3 (no idea if episodes 1-2 ever were released)
The first Zipman (ZIPMAN.ZIP):
http://cd.textfiles.com/ugameware/ARCADE/
Reminds me of Dangerous Dave.

And the second one (don't ask why the folder's called "HUBBARD"):
http://cd.textfiles.com/mmcd/GAMES/HUBBARD/
Looks a lot like the first one. There is also a folder named ZIPGEM here for some reason, what seems to include a separate puzzle game by Zipteam.

Seems Ladder man 3 can't be found when you look for it via
-> "ALL Games (List)" -> "L" ......

[Edit 01]
Same for Blackthorne ...

[Edit 02]
Same for Bolo Ball ...

[Edit 03]
Same for Cavequest ...

[Edit 04]
Same for Dungeon...

[Edit 05]
Same for Magic crayon ....

[Edit 06]
Same for Maze runner ....

[Edit 07]
Same for Need for speed ....

[Edit 08]
Same for Scavenger .....

[Edit 09]
Same for Tri ....

[Edit 10]
Same for Tron .....

Their name shows in the alphabetical list but when you click on it you can't find them on the download page...... seems something is missing with the "February 20th 2010: 11 games added!"

:P

[Edit 11]
The newest additions from "December 24th 2008" doesn't show up at all in the alphabetical list .... :o

Okay, I fixed it. Apparently by working on both my laptop and my desktop, some of the files got out of sync and some of the not-latest versions ended up on the site. It should all be good now tho, thanks for pointing that out. :)
