Hi,
I have come here to see if you can help me find a game that I used to
love playing on my windows 95 computer.
It's basically like tron. It had a birds eye view of a a square where you would "tron around" in. The awesome part of it was you could earn money and buy things at the shop for the next level/game you played, and you could change your line-style from normal to dotted and even thick line (after purchaced from the store)!
I have been searching everywhere but I can't seem to find the right one...
Please help

Ah, yes, I have the shareware version of that. "TRON : Light Cycles v1.0"
The screen on exit says:
"Copyright (c) 1992, Keith Fordham."
I remember those details you mentioned.
Since it's shareware, I'll upload it temporarily-ish:

That isn't the original zip. I only had the files extracted. It's either that or nothing. Sorry, TRON.DOC.

YES! That's the one! But how do I get it to run at normal speed? I saw a program but I forgot what it was.
But how come its like... NOWHERE on the internet?
And is there a way to register?

Try running it in DOSBox. It should run fine there.

Follow
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5443 or such from that forum to get it set up.
DOSBox would be a better bet than MoSlo or programs like that, I would think.
Why this game is nowhere on the internet, I don't know.
I just had the shareware version sitting around on a floppy and copied it over one day because I wanted to play it.
You'd have to find the author somehow. Open REGISTER.FRM in notepad. Maybe the author's mailing address still works. Maybe he's moved and you would have a remote chance of finding him through internet searches. *shrugs*

Heh, it's been so long since I played it other than the other day to make sure my memories were correct.. Try selling the other trail first if possible. Otherwise, check the readme.
