old Pc side-scrolling adventure game[= Dark ages]
old Pc side-scrolling adventure game[= Dark ages]
From what i can remember, the game was made before 1995-96. you play as a man with some form of projectile (maybe boomerang, maybe not) the first level has several waterfalls and bridges. brown, blue and green are the dominant colours. birds are the first enemies you encounter (I think). There are dark cave or dungeon levels later on. vines are also a environmental feature. I think its 8 bit. Any assistance will be welcomed, A name would be lovely.
As mentioned in the prompt it is side scrolling.

here is a poorly drawn picture of what i think to be the opening level.
please note this was drawn from memory and there are probably several errors, one is the characters colour.

Even if most of the description could apply to Jill of the jungle:Wally wrote:Jill of the jungle?

Hmmmm, not really.

[Edit]
But your answer made me remember Xargon, also from Epic Megagames and a Jill gameplay clone:

That could fit the description.
Good job Wally !!!!!

Or, it could simply be Jill and a not-that-bad case of age-induced faulty memory

The da_freew.zip linked to on the already mentioned 3drealms page has all three episodes and executables for them. Just run da1.exe, or da2.exe, or da3.exe
(There is also http://www.3drealms.com/downloads.html , by the way, but it links to the very same file.)
