where can i find a good c++ tutorial on making a text based game? I'm just beginning c++ programming, but I don't know where to find a good tutorial for beginners.

You don't like google? It all depends of your skill level what can be interesting for you.
How much you already know? Simply the basics or a bit further? Etcetera....

Time to do some research and do some digging friend.

The ideas for a story, plot and such will have to come from you.
With enough perseverance you will maybe one day achieve something as this.

If you're just starting with programming, it may be beyond your scope to write a real text adventure game right now. So ...

If you're more interested in learning to program, try an online tutorial like dosraider suggested, maybe something like

However if you're really more interested in writing a text adventure and care less about learning to program, there's several established text-adventure writing systems available, such as:
