Crossfire

I remember a game on the C64 (I think) called crossfire, basically simple but highly addictive. Does anyone know of a PC version that is available for download please. B)

Crossfire

Its set in a city marked out by a 7 x 7 grid and you control a vehicle that can "drive" around the blocks and fire in any of four directions. Alien vehicles can enter the city from one of four directions and shoot at you and you have to navigate / shoot to stay alive. Oh yes, you have to also enter the city to pick up ammo.

I guess I will have to dig the old C64 out of the loft and set it up.. :)

Crossfire was available for different platforms, Apple II, Commodore 64, PC & VIC-20, see screenshots relating to these versions.

I used to play it on an Apple II. Once in a while I still play it.

Yes, it'll be nice to do that or you can play the actual C64 version on PC via an emulator. Alternatively you can try a different version.

For your benefit, I tried running the PC version. It works fine with Dosbox but you have to choose cycles as "500". Otherwsie, the game will be too fast.
