Wolfenstein's Castle/l988 version

Can anyone tell me the name of the website where I can download Wolfenstein's Castle (second version) free? It is a shoot-em-up game of avoidance of the Nazi killers as you check rooms and work your way up to the top floor, avoiding getting shot.

You mean Wolfenstein 3-d? You have to buy the full version, but can download the shareware from dosgames.com, but I've never heard of Wolfenstein's Castle.

i do recall an old CGA graphic top view game called Castle Wolfenstein... where you had to hit letters to point your gun, and open chests and such. Is this the one ur thinkin of?

There is actual the dos version of original Castle Wolfenstein and the sequel, Beyond Castle Wolfenstein.

I have not played this dos version but in the old days I used to play the Apple II version. I still can remember how fast my heart beat when I ran out of bullets and the Nazi came chasing after me. :D

If you liked old classics with simplier graphics then you have been missing out on this nice game. It was quite popular in the 80s.

By the way, anyone who liked the old original Castle Wolfenstein should try the popular Apple II games, Gemstone Warrior and the sequel, Gemstone Healer. It is like Castle Wolfenstein in an old RPG setting and more exciting. Too bad Gemstorm Warrior was never ported to other platform except C64. I can be quite sure that if there was a good game developer could make a modern version of this game, it will could be even more popular than Wolfenstein 3D. The reason is that many gamers like Fantasy RPG. This one has skeletons or other creatures chasing you instead of Nazis and you search coffins instead of chest. The magic portion and other items were also fun to use.
