I like what I played, but that isn't much. The 4th episode is free now though! Get it on steam or from Telltale's site.

Free? Hmm ... is it worth getting if I haven't played eps 1-3?

Yes, that's why I didn't want to download it at first too, but apparently the over-arching plot only starts in that episode. The first three are just loose episodes.

(Also, this episode was rated highest of the season.)

I've played the first three eps in their entirety. They weren't bad.

Sort of...simpler than earlier adventure games. The solutions were much easier, and the clues blatant.

Always fun to watch a maniacal mini-bunny and a big bear play cop though.

What episodes have you played??

Apparently my friend saw the first 6 episodes bundled together at a games shop the other day. I'll have to go inquire. :)

Sam 'n Max are Lucasarts games.
So: no go on the abandonwarescene.
You can get the Sam & Max Hit the Road demo@
http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/36
Sam & Max Hit the Road is I thought the first one of the series.

Sam & Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die! (4) is released for free as teaser for the other games.

Not really. Sam&Max Hit the Road was[and still is] a LucasArts game. Sam&Max Season I and II belong to Telltale Games. In case you didn't know, LucasArts' license to use the Sam&Max characters in video games expired in 2005(which is when Purcell started working with Telltale)

In between Lucas Arts ownership and Telltale someone else was working on it too. It got abandoned though.

The first 6 episodes of the Telltale series are available for download...They have a block on them though so it's meant to be "demo" form...but the block is easily removed and the whole game is in the download.

I'm going to buy the 6-ep bundle though. :)

I've only played the first 3 (and Hit the Road).

Keep meaning to check this out, I got an email from Telltale saying that one of the episodes was out for free now, how much does it cost to get all 6? It'd probably just be easier to buy them and since it's Sam N Max, I'd say it's a safe bet I'll like it since it's one of the few DOS games I still have installed on my PC at all times (Along with X-Com, Dune II, Sydnicate & DotT)

I haven't seen it at a shop yet. I've been meaning to hunt it down, but just haven't got there.

They're not as good as the old ones. Much simpler, but still fun.
