I'm typing a rather long short story for my English course at school. It's my major work and is all epic and such.
So anyway, i have these page breaks in it...Like, web format with the dashed line and such. ( - - - - - - - - - )
Normally, i can just highlight and delete these lines as i see fit with backspace or delete or whatever. For some unusual reason this has changed and they no longer delete in the normal way. I am using word and i feel like such a noob asking, but how can i delete them???

On a similar note...I was typing in my draft and scrolled down to make an edit to a lower portion. I tried to find my place, but alas, this paragraph was unfamiliar to me. I had written these words, but they were all jumbled up and in the wrong order, and some were missing.
So, uh. Please help. Preferably with as little ridicule as possible.
Thanks.

EDIT: I've tried highlighting and deleting too.
EDIT 2: Okay. This is weird. I saved the file as "Draftweird" because i wanted to keep working...re-opened the damn thing to copy-paste to a friend to see if he could help...the damn thing was re-organised back in the right order and i could delete page breaks again!!! WHAT THE HELL?!
Microsoft strikes again.
