Suggestions you ask?
Wait a second ...

I stare long and deeply into the the crystal bulb ...
I peer with glazing eyes .....
I see ...
I see ...

Darned, I can't see a thing, my crystal bulb seems to be borked again.

Now yeah, a wild guess then, you're on XP or Vista or W2K?
Then I would suggest dosbox.
Yep.
That's the best shot that I can give with the sparse info you give.
Dosbox.
Yep.

If you need more help or so, you're welcome.
And give a little bit more info, will you ? Thanks.

Download dosbox from:
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1
You need Windows-0.71-Win32 installer.
Let it install, accept everything (Don't be scared, that prog is OK)
Create a c:\games whilst in windows.
unzip your scorched earth archive to:
c:\games\scorch\
Run dosbox(start menu item is been created by install), you will see a z:\> prompt, that's normal.
Input:

mount c c:\games
c:
cd scorch
scorch

After every line hit ENTER.

You're in the game.
That's all, works fine, you will see, I hope.

If you should have problems, reply, and be so specific possible in your reply.
But if you follow the above, and make no typos it will work.

*Edit
It's important that you unzip your archive again, don't use the old installed game, it makes a *.cfg file that is worthless now. Start over with a new unzipped game.

*Edit²
Almost forgot.
In your start (first) gamescreen go to 'HARDWARE' and set the graphics higher, it starts up in 320x200 or so, you can go up to 800x600 or 1024x768, dosbox can handle it.

Or, you could always look for Scorched3d in google, 'tis a free download, with no messing around in dosbox. :cuccoan:

But, there is something nice to be said about sticking with the old classics. I play the old console games occasionally, so I'm sure that there are people who prefer their old DOS games over the new-fangled Windows ports/versions/whatevers.
