There's a website...That has "press 7, followed by #, follow by 4..." and you put it into composer and it makes them...(the beepy kind). I do that. It is free.

OMFG,you people really can't seem to ditch with mobiles....
Buying crap-quality songs from providers?
Total bull-s**t...
Your best bet is to buy a USB cable for yer mobile....
And download from the net the songs or MIDIs you like,and transfering them to your mobile with the USB cable using a file manager or something like that....

meh... not like I buy them all the time.. i buy one maybe once a month.. if that... don't really bother me.. its only 2. 50 ...

Yea, I've had my phone for about a year and a half, and I've only bought two ringtones during that time. I *would* use a USB cable, but the process for getting ringtones on my phone is not just a simple drag-and-drop, there's potential to brick the phone if you screw it up. So it's more convenient to just buy the stinkin thing from 'em.

Although, if I bricked my phone, that'd be an excuse to get a new one ... oooh lg chocolate phone

lol I like the chocolate phones.. their cute.. A usb cable came with mine, but meh... I don't wanna use it. I use a memory card reader for my songs, so I don't have to screw around with cords

Well you probably got a contract with your operator so you can spend a fix ammount of $,but i am on prepaid and in my country i simply refuse to pay 14kn wich is round 2.50$ to get 10-20 sec of a song.....
wich is much for a crap song....

I have some standard Nokia ring tone, my phone is a piece of crap anyways, I can’t be bothered to put anything decent on there. One of my mates works down at Punchbowl, so I’m just waiting for a good phone to fall off the back of a truck and then I’ll rip the bass solo from Angra’s Unholy Wars and use that as a ring tone.

I have some form of Kyocera phone.. I love the angular buttons on it, even if the phone itself is relatively archaic... Trick is, the charger is bust, so the ungodly charge the battery can hold [can stay on for three days straight and not even make a mark on the battery reader] has been going on for around a month now... I only turn it on when I need it.. half dead so far... wonder if I can get a new charger..

Ah well. I wouldn't really want a new phone, this one does all I want, sends voice to and from people, if I want games, I have my DS for that, and my phone still beeps when someone calls, which is what I want, and would pay for.

I love the loud speaker on my phone, too. Easy to hear even the quiet people in a loud mall. [though it's a bit of a pain when my sister phones, who has a loud voice over ANY phone, not just mine..]

I had an 1100...but bought some fancy schmancy camera phone...didn't like it...gave it to my mother and bought a new 1100!

Well, I do love how sturdy it is. I've dropped it a few times and it's still good. But the camera on it sucks. It's easy to hack, but it tends to be kinda slow at times. You can load in your own mp3s for ringtones and what not with a standard USB plug... but my model doesn't have any external memory slots...

I got a chocolate phone, that phone is pretty god damn shitty, I had the chocolate for 2 days and went back and got my old one connected again. So now I have my chocolate phone int he corner..
do you know whats shitty? my old phone is from newfoundland right.. anyway i have no internet nor can I obviously d/l ringtones. apprently because my phone is from another province I cant get ineternet.. stupid eh?

You're the 2nd person I've met that doesn't like the Chocolate. I dunno, they seemed like alright phones to me.
