Suspected spambot "DavidDHall" - posts of generic praise, and a profile with a dating-site link in. (The one good thing is it likes Tetris.)

I suggest to put on watch-list.

Spambots seem to have developed a liking for
this thread, so I decided to lock it. There's no reason for users to post in it really.

The bald spambot 'fionaly' returns to spam again, list says 3, but I see 1 only:
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/profile.p ... le&u=13325
note:
I'm seeing fewer than listed spams here, and before this I noted some of the recurring bots seem to have this mismatch too.
Are they already deleted, or hidden somehow?

Yet another suspected spambot, 'HelenAllen', posting generic praise and adding a link with a dating site in its posting signature.
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/profile.p ... le&u=13381
Also another version: 'RitaLucero', same thing with dating site in post/signature; though perhaps the posting it made was a properly baffled response to the thread content.

It seems that currently concatenated 'real' names, without spacing are used as their nametags.

All of that junk moved to Trash Heap.
A question to forum admins: is there an option in this version of phpBB to change the CAPTCHA/spambot countermeasure to a custom question? That thing seems to be more effective in deterring spambots than pictures.

Been noticing a lot of "Fifa Coin" spam happening in here. They all link to the same site, so I've added that site's name to our list of spam words. Hopefully this puts a bit of a damper on the latest wave of spambots.

Energetic spammer Rain13 managed ten postings of garbage in just over ten minutes, before it's fingers were worn down to stubs:

Holy spam, Batman! I added the url to our spam words list, banned the account, and removed all the trash.

Spammer with a link to an irrelevant site in profile:
http://www.dosgames.com/forum/profile.p ... le&u=13437
Made a couple of vaguely on-topic posts in random chat threads.
