Well a pet is a pet, not a trained beer fetcher.. don't be selfish.
I never had a dog (well once we had a german sheppard for a month), but plenty of cats here. Each cat has its own personality and are nice to have around. Not having to pick up big piles of shit from the neighbors sidewalk while they watch is a definate plus.

I know you're kidding.... but seriously, I've only heard of people eating dogs not cats. Someone had once told me for those who eat dog meat, they had better not go near a dog because the dog smell will stay with them for 2 to 3 years and the dogs will know that these people have eaten their kind.
