I think I need to find an IDE PCI caching controller to finalize that dos box.
I've got a Promise PCI caching controller just collecting dust now. If you want it let me know
Yea sure, if you want to get rid of it
Any idea what the model number is and what the max drive size it can use is? I used to have a 4030VL with 4mb long time ago but sold it to a friend with an old 486 computer... wish I still had one.

The model is the Promise DC5030 and it's a PCI caching controller. Not sure the max drive size however
I still have a Promise DC4030VL2 card as well, could sell them both to you as they are just collecting dust now

I am interested in the PCI one for my 486 dos box, (dont have a vlb motherboard anymore). Is there any ram on the unit? Do you have docs or drivers for it? I figure $10 for the card (and disks/docs if you have them) plus shipping would be ok (hoping you have ram for it)

It uses standard 30-pin SIMM's and yes I do have some lying around. Suppose I should put some in there then huh
As a side note on this topic
I can get some PCI video cards from where I work. We still have a few left in stock and of course they are various chipsets and memory configurations. I'll get what we have, the makes and models and their various configs and prices if anyone is interested in them ?!?
