Dogbreath wrote:Yeah, Canadian English sucks. I mean, what is the point of "than" being "tahn"? Or "the" being "teh"? or "my" being "mty"? It doesn't make any sense to me.
And, btw, I believe even in Queens English it is spelled "genius".

LMAO! I was just reading the forum. You people make me laugh.....lol@ Kazer.....<sigh> yes, we Canadians are all cursed by the bad "spelling". But don't be fooled....not ALL Canadians spell like Kazer....

No, not exactly. All dialects have their own unique spellings and pronunciations. Say "aluminum" or "lieutenant" for instance, 'Merikans, Northmen, Aussies, and Brits will all say them differently.
Also, of the ~1.5 billion English Speakers, all but one pronounce "nuclear" the same. (New-clear) That exeption would be President Bush. (Shudders at the thought of his "Nuke-Yoo-Ler")

IMO,
ALL Canadian English is hitting the keys in the wrong order so what difference is there?

(Besides for that, I don't know when you are doing Canadian and when you do a typo, both look equally stupid)
