No, not Monster in my Pocket. I never played that myself.

I would like to discuss S/D/U more, but I simply have not gotten that far in any of them. In each game I have not gotten much further than the first few rooms. I wont say much more on it, because I do not want any spoilers since I am hoping to eventually try them all again.

Yes. I was going to add, "do not forget to invite your neighbors" or "be neighborly", but I see there was no need. ^_^ Your turn.

And I thought it was a pretty good game, especially the two player co-op aspect of it. However the later levels got extremely hard. I never did pass the giant ant level. Reminded me of the C&C hidden ant levels.

Okay I guess I will go since I am the big mouth. hehe

For my first clue the main character is round, yellow, and has a dot as an eye that eats dots to finish each level and has ghosts following around

However Jesus always resurrects the character for the next player

Which version or game in the Double Dragon series is that screen shot from? I assume at least one of it's sequels or renditions. The original NES version was different from it's arcade original, although the SEGA Genesis kept pretty much the same. Where as the arcade you were basically just blindly making your way from start to finish with all moves already in your repritior, the NES version had you simply starting with punch, kick and a jump only just to ensure you could defend yourself and make it over any gaps. Only after you gained experience from fighting (Fastest way was to just keep punching, even if it took longer to kill someone with seven hits or so, (Punch, punch, punch, back away and repeat.) while kicking only took three hits.), you would rack up the exp, which boiled down opening up your move sets to include jumping and kicking (jump-kick), grabs, holds and throws, pinning your weakened opponent onto the ground and punching him (That was always my favorite.) and finally but not least, the most powerful although also most dangerous move was the elbow which killed every regular enemy as far as I can remember in one hit, or the big Abobos (SP?) in four.

So although it was basically the same game, it was still unique. Graphics were not the same either, more smoother although less detailed as most NES games were at that time. And although there was a two player option, it was not co-op, meaning you had to wait your turn, either by the other players death as in Super Mario Bros original or after every stage completed as in SMB3.

However it did have a side fighting game where you could fight the CPU or the second player. You could choose different characters with different move sets or a special, although basically they were all the same. But the sprite models were much more detailed, even better than the arcade in looks.

Of course the second game incorporated the back side kick which was helpful for attacking enemies coming from behind, but also annoying because punching felt more weak to me or at the very least, again took more time to knock someone down and you had to know which way you were or not facing to employ the kick properly. And it was two player co-op for the NES as I recall. The third game was utter crap in my opinion. You had no extra lives, only extra characters you had to gain and Super Double Dragon was just weird, although I did find it rather fun. After all that I lost track of any more sequels and renditions, although I heard there was an 8-bit parody remake flash game that is quite popular, Abobo's Big Adventure.

Double Dragon III for the NES. Not sure if the same Typo is present in the arcade version.
