Anyone wanna recommend one?
I'm not a fan of RTS/strategy games ... and I'd prefer if it didn't borrow too heavily from WoW. I've tried a few MMORPGs that looked quite promising but I was more than a little disappointed when I saw giant yellow ?'s over peoples heads, and I was sent to "Kill x of y's".
In the past I've played Ragnarok Online pretty extensively ... also tried WoW, Goonzu, Dungeon Runners, Flyff, Maple Story, Tales of Pirates, Dream of Mirror ... um and probably others ...

I've tried a [large] number of MMORPGs over the past few months(right before saying "Fuck it!" and going back to WoW), a lot of them are not even worth the diskspace.
Of those, there are two that you might enjoy: Conquer Online with a Diablo-esque profile(low number of quests, grind-coated grind with a grind filling) set in an Asian(oooh, the originality) locale and Mu Online(which tends to ripoff Diablo in a multitude of aspects)
Personally, I couldn't bring myself to play these for more than a week, mostly because they were too little like WoW. Guess the years I spent in Azeroth have spoiled me
edit: if you're into 5-minutes-a-day browser mmos, you should take a look at Funeral Quest. Pretty fun theme with a decent amount of players.

Hey thanks for the suggestions! I will try some of these!
Last night after posting here I found one called Lunia:

It's interesting, at least it plays differently from a lot of the others out there, but it doesn't seem like it'll have a lot of long-term depth.

Unfortunately the only mmo that doesn't have "kill x monster, collect y, fetch question, and level grinding" while still being fun are not in English.
Lunia was interesting but it does lag depth since it just repeat episode after episode, so it kinda like trap in a series of repeating quest grinding, not sure about now, but during beta, the lag is very painful. T_T
Other than that, English game with somewhat interesting concept are shin megami tensei imagine, and The secret world.
