Hello, in light of my recent increase in activity I thought I would introduce myself. While I joined sometime last year (October - November?) I have been a regular lurker on dosgames for a long time, at least since 2002 but likely a while before because I am sure I got C-DOGs and a number of other games we used to play during "computer club" at school from here.
Right now I am working on my dissertation to finish my masters this September and run a small freelance operation updating website designs and designing custom php and mysql based back ends.
I love dos, it was the first operating system I used with a laptop donated to me by a local businessman (the 8Mhz version Toshiba T3100) and I still have both the original Toshiba MS-DOS 3.3 System Disk and the laptop itself - which I rescued from my parents clearing out of their loft. I did have a Amstrad PCW8512 and an Amstrad PPC640 but they have been lost to time thanks to previous clearing outs while I was away at uni. The first programming language I learnt was Quick Basic on that Toshiba followed by C.
In any case I believe that's enough rambling, just thought I would say hi.

Hi Carbontwelve.
Welcome.
We do have a topic for introductions, but it is good to hear your story.
Hopefully we will hear more from you in the future.

Does that say, "he is my [bitch], no?" ??
I forgot that you spoke french, you would have been very useful two weeks ago when all of my resources for my essay were in french... sigh.

Nope, not really, no. In fact it means not much, the whole thing is completely wrong.GAMER wrote:Does that say, "he is my [bitch], no?" ??
The words are (kinda) French, but put together like a 1 year old would do.
'Mon femelle chien' is completely idiotic. Non-existent in French.

And incidentally, "Frainkeis" is how my high school french teacher pronounced "français".
On that subject I should post pictures showing off the fact that I graduated high school.
