need help with two games

I remember playing these two games when I was in elementary school in the early to mid 90's but I can't remember the names for the life of me.

1. You were in the jungle and wandered around. You used NWES buttons to move to new screens and I think it had something to do with taking pictures of animals or something like that. One animal I remember was the Bird of Paradise.

2. This game was a lot like the other game except it was on the ocean and Portuguese Man of War would show up by the boat so you couldn't dive in that spot.

Any help finding these games would be greatly appreciated.

The first one sounds like amazon quest or amazon trail...
You have to make it down the amazon, you can trade with villages or go fishing, and stop to take photos of various animals...which is what i used to do because the game was impossible to complete.

It also sounds a little like ecoquest-secret of the rainforest where you use an ecorder to record various endangered species and environmental hazards
