DOS mystery text game [Murder in the Museum]
OK, I have not been able to find this game on my own and I have been looking for years, so I have finally admitted that I need help.
I had a game that I accessed on a Windows PC in the late 80s (Windows 3.1 I believe) that was entirely text and was a mystery game. It is NOT Mystery Manor!
I don't want to say it was a murder mystery but I think it was. What i do remember is a few things:
You move around a house
You needed to get a combination
You needed to look at an urn to get info (may have been the combination)
There was a point where you had to inspect a femur
You could fall and die
I don't remember being able to "speak" with other characters, but maybe I just never got far enough in it.
I am pretty sure it was a one word title, but I don't know...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to finally finish the game!

Old game
I've been looking for this game too! for a couple of years now. It had a rack, and an adze and all different coLored doors, right? The closest i've come, is that it looks VERY similar to a game called the black mirror, so I was thinking it was an early version of that game, but I would like to find the original.
If you ever find out the name, please post it.
Thanks!

It is possible, but I don't remember any colored doors. I am hung up on the femur, because I distinctly remember the part about the thigh bone and knowing that femur was another name, and using that word instead to get it to work. So until I find a walkthough with femur in it, I won't be able to know 100% that I found it!

Good job finding it; it seems to have had a C64 release too:
https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games ... useum-1987
For DOS it came out on the Big Blue Disc #16:

(I have submitted a short entry for it at Mobygames)
This game now has an entry here; feel free to add some spoiler-free screenshots etc.
