Why Crime Fighter's said as a demo?

Oops! Thanks for the tip. Originally Crime Fighter was shareware but it was released as freeware recently. I've fixed the error. :)

*Throws his hands up in the air like he just doesn't care*

The screenshot for Tunneler doesn't seem to work

Also... shouldn't you add Evasive Maneuvers?

Evasive Maneuvers:
Recently, the authors of the game have, after much hard work, recompiled the full version of the game from the original source code! They've generously offered it fre of charge from their website, so please go there, read their story, and consider donating some money to compensate them for all their hard work.

They asked us to only offer the shareware version.
The full version is on their game site, and they linked to the DGF topic.

Ha ha ha... happens all the time to me... I save the index.html file on dreamweaver but forget to upload it into the server. Atleast now I know even professional webmasters make the same mistakes

Oh and thanks for the updates as always. Charlie II is a terrific game! :D

I agree, the use of one external .css file can do wonders on a website ;)

Just a simple SQL script would do wonders... I'm not sure how your database is set up, but I'd think that something like this would be a good start:

Game Name
URL To Game
Descritpion
Game Release Year
Genre
Rating
Game Classification (Shareware, Demo, Freeware...)
Link to Screenshot
Link to Mobygames info.
Date Added

Any other rare bits could just be manually entered. Then it's a simple case of updating your SQL database, and using the magic of PHP to update your site for you. PHP with SQL can really make your life easier.

I'm aware of the magic of PHP/SQL ... Play.vg is built with it after all. :)

It sounds simple when you say it that way, except for the fact that there's currently over 500 games listed on the site right now coded purely in HTML, no database, using somewhat standard but not really standard formatting. So, a lot of manual entry.

Also, looking back at my old database plan spec from the last time I thought about databasing (?!) the site, the GAMES table alone (besides the other req'd tables) had 30+ fields. Of course, that includes a few new features but if such an update were to happen I'd want to introduce at least SOME new stuff (to make the effort seem worth it).

I'd like to see a total update by Jan 09 (since that'll be the 10th anniversary of the site ... man I'm old) but judging from past results (and the fact that I have much LESS free time than I did in previous years) that's not extremely likely to happen.

Yeah, I figured as much, the whole lack of a database thing. You could always get a team of us together to help with the sql database... it would be a lot of work, but definitely worth it in the end.

And I distinctly recall several of us offering to help. Provided, that was back in the day TSM lurked the forum but...
