Police quest two

I've been playing the old Police Quest games (the first two anyway), but in PQ2 the steelton police department phone number just leads to some idiot like any random number. Because of this after I get to steelton I always lose the game, the number I've been using is 407 555 2677.
Any ideas?

I've played it, and finished it.
But it's too long ago to remember all those details.
And I won't play through it again.

Not soon anyway. There is enough other stuff to do.
