old RPG game
I'm looking for a sword & sorcery type game i used to play it had classes, stats, levels.
the thing the game had that was different from most was the combat.
When combat started the game went to a overview mode which had all the monsters and players as on the screen (as tiles) which you can move around ect.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MS-DOS_games
Those two cover approx 65% of the games.
You can narrow the searchfield on Mobys......
What would be more helpfull is:
Gamefield? How was it set up?
Graphics?
Any specific spells you remember?
Some names ... level names or such ....

This Mobygames list (on the right side of the page) lists all DOS games (at least, all of the games in the database) that are isometric RPGs:
http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/d ... isometric/
Chances are it's one of the games on that list. Look through it and see if any of the names are familiar.

I make my shot: Nahlakh?
Fits in these points:
- swinging action when attacking
- town which under is a dungeon
- fireball spells
- Dos game
- bunch of classes
- special combat screen
- isometric, tile-based overview.
but it has 8 character slots

Darklands?
It sounds like "Darklands" to me. I loved that game...never finished it though.
