It's this old game like Monkey Island & Indiana Jones adventure games. I think it was by Lucas arts, too. It was futuristic style, and I remember you had to heal someone or something... then in one scene you and a friend decide that one of you will close some gate while the other one is shooting or whatever.

this is just a guess, but is it Beneath a Steel Sky? I never got too far on that, but what I did get to I absolutely loved.

I think it's Space Quest (haven't seen it, but it was listed with SoMnkeyIs2)
