Looking for old time travel game

I remember i used to play a game around 10 years ago or something where you played a little brown haired man, i think he wore a yellow top.
He travelled through time, i think in a time machine through different levels like the dinosaurs, egyptians, medieval, maybe a tree age and the roaring twenties too?
It was a platform game and you would have to jump on the enemy in each level to kill them i think and then you could pick up their shells and throw them at other enemies. I think you could collect things where you had to answer a question on that time period to advance to the next level?!
Really want to find out what this game was called if anyone thinks they know it
