i think i remember that. THe board was randomly generated and each space was a yellow hexagon. The mechs were red and blue, and i used to have it on my old computer. I think i found it on dosgamesarchive.com but i dont remember.
(The game could have easily been from an Amiga or Commidore)
Sorry

No, thats not it, thats Mechwar, I want Mech Warriors......
You take turns with either another person on the same computer, or with the computer, and you earn money that you can spend on bots, and when the players meet, they can have an arcade type fight with the bots on that part of land, it's a lot like Risk!

The game you're looking for...
"MissionForce: Cyberstorm" is the name of the game, by Sierra. Unfortunately, I don't know of anywhere you can download it.

Are ya thinking of....
Do you mean BattleTech: The Cresent Hawks Inception / Revenge?
In Inception you had these tiny red and blue guys you controled and could fire a rocket launcher as a guy, and in a mech you had the ability to upgrade the mech and all?
Or was it Revenge, where you could choose where to fire, move your mech by moving a square thingy that gave you the location of the spot it was on, (A.K.A L32, A12 etc.) There were some voices in the game too.
