Heya Spanker,
I've just spent the last couple of hours working on this (saw the game for sale at a used computer store yesterday, probably going to go back and buy it just for the box.)
It's cool that you have the original disk, but you might want to download it off the internet (it's not hard to find on google)
Anyway, I'm running XP and the game started up fine a few minutes ago for me.
A couple things I came across that might help you though.
DOSBox - http://dosbox.sourceforge.net
(DOS emulator)
VDMSound - http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound
(Sound emulator)
I didn't need to use DOSBox since it's running fine on my computer (did d/l it though) and I had problems installing VDMSound (couldn't write one of the files) The sound I'm getting is just beeps from the PC speaker, but I'm going to try to d/l a different version.
Hope this was able to help
...I remember back in the day not being able to get CHQ to run because the mouse driver was too new, as much as I miss DOS, I'm glad I'm not still using it
