Is it possible to finish Bow&Arrow?
I'm not sure if Bow and Arrow was a DOS game, but I think I remember playing it on win 3.11, so it is at least from the same era. Most people probably know what game I'm talking about: you shoot at balloons, shurikens, bubbles etc by moving your character up and down the left of screen and shooting.
Anyway, I get up to about the ninth level with 'treemen' on the right of screen hurling apples. Is there any way to finish this level?
I could ask the same question for skifree, though I'm nearly positive you can't avoid being eaten by the monster.

If I recall about Skifree, it's impossible to get very far, but once you reach the bottom you appear at the top, have to dodge another Yeti (nearly impossible) and I assume repeat endlessly.

Hit the tree man how many times? I remember getting stuck at that level too a long time ago. Think I ever hit many apples or the tree man before.Wally*Won_Kenobie wrote:Yes.. it is possible to finish bow and arrow. IT was for win 3.11
YOu have to hit the tree men i think.
As for Ski free you can avoid getting eaten for a prolonged period of time (sorta like a race) but im not sure how.
As for Ski-free, I ever read on some website that it was possible to finish. It gave hints like setting trees on fire, jumping, avoiding Yeti and 'F' or something for turbo speed. However, I gave up playing that a long time ago as I always got eaten. It was amusing at first but later not fun getting eaten all the time. If I can find back when I read it, I'll post again.

It is impossible to beat the game, because you have to pay for it.

I'm not going to read all this gibberish... on the level with the pigeon and black eagles... DON'T let any eagle escape... if U kill them all on the level with the trees U will shoot with a burning arrow.

I have actually finished the Bow and Arrow game before but my version works in Windows, not DOS. I received the full, unabridged version V1.0 from John Di Troia, 5 Mt. Pleasant Street, Saugur, Ma 01906. Price $12.00. I have lost my disc and plan to reorder from him. I did not have any problem before in receiving my order from him after he received my payment. It is really a fun game - especially the full version. It's a real challenge to get to the final level. Enjoy

Bow & Arrow: The Treemen
To Shoot the Treemen: End the previous level with your archer at the upper 1/3 of the screen.
The goal is to shoot the arrow through the flame so that a flaming arrow hits the tree and burns up the tree. You can align your arrows exactly with the apples so that you shoot the apple and wait for the flame to come to the tree you are in alignment with. Then, shoot 2 arrows, one for the apple and one for the tree and hope you get a flaming arrow to hit the tree.
Or better, shoot the arrow slightly above the apple line, catching the flame, alighting the arrow and shooting the tree at its top, just above its apple-throwing plane.
To do this, end the previous level with your archer in the upper 1/3 of the screen, then wait for the flame and shoot the tree that is 2nd from the top. Move up above the top apple and shoot the top tree through the flame. Quickly move down slightly to align your archer with the top tree's apple so you can shoot it and not get hit. Now, both top 2 trees are gone. When all their apples are gone, and the flame is approaching the 3rd tree, drop down in between apples and shoot, catching the flame above the apple line, then move quickly back up into the blank space. Wait for all 3rd tree's apples to be gone, then, when the flame is approaching, drop down in between apples and shoot, catching the flame with your arrow, again above the apple line so that the flaming arrow hits the tree at its top.
Continue until all the trees are gone except the last. Hover just above the apples of the last tree and wait until the flame disappears off the top of the screen. Then, drop down between the apples and fire 2 arrows, then very quickly move back up above the tree. You should get the last tree.
Do you know where I can get the complete version of this game? I have the abridged version that came in a shareware package.

It's got nothing to do with finishing in the upper 1/3 of the screen you just have to kill all those black birdsMAM wrote:To Shoot the Treemen: End the previous level with your archer at the upper 1/3 of the screen.
Gamer I played the win version and there you kept skying until the yeti got to you(wich is after 4 or 5 meters)
