2d action with war airplanes in horizonal line

hi to all!

i am searching for the first game i played, in 1996, in order to suggest it
to my son.
It was a 2d action game with cool graphics.
The player was contoled airplanes, mostly jets.
The mission in each level was to destroy airplanes,helicopters,tanks..
The platform of the game was horizonal
it was not one of those games: raptor, jetpack, jetfighter,Sopwith or a flight simulator
