I Need a Nostalgia Fix!!!!!

Post by imfromthepast »

There was a game I used to play circa 1990, about the time Starflight 2 came out. I don't remember the name, which is a real obstical to finding this thing, let me tell you. It would be great is someone here can either give me the name, or the game.

It was a ninja game. It featured an orthogonical quasi-3D environment. Kind of like Sqace Quest, in that you would move to the edge of the screen and enter another room. You started with one weapon and collect more throughout the game. That is about all I remember. I have been searching for this game for years, please help me if you can!

One other thing I would like help with. Anyone know where I can find some Alfredo downloads? I had Big Blue Disks when I was a kid, and I remember two of them had these cheap little ASCII movies. One was Alfredo's Nuclear Nuisance, and the Other was Alfredo's Mortiferous Mortality.

Thanks! :)

I'm not familiar with the ninja game, but a quick search on the Alfredo thing turned up this site:

http://www.syndicomm.com/softdisk/

They have all of Softdisk's Apple II stuff for sale on this CDROM for $50:

http://store.syndicomm.com/product_info ... cts_id=171

Or you can buy individual disks for $5 each (on 5.25 inch disks(!) so you'll have to have a computer that can read 'em):

http://store.syndicomm.com/product_info ... cts_id=196

So, depending on whether you have $$$ to burn (and, uh, a working 5.25 floppy drive) this may not be a realistic option for you :upset:

Just an idea re the ninja game ... since the other thing you're looking for is made by Softdisk, a ninja game made by Softdisk is "Shadow Knights":
http://www.mobygames.com/game/shadow-knights
If that is the one you're looking for, you'll unfortunately need to buy that too, since its still being sold by Download Store (the owner of Softdisk's games now):
http://www.digitalriver.com/dr/v2/ec_MA ... 71&CUR=124
(PS. I've heard that by searching Google using terms like ' download "shadow knights" ' you can sometimes find games like this to download for free, of course I can't endorse such practices :jester: )
