You have to beat the crap out of his head, then he'll go psycho and run around crazy for a bit. Best to avoid him at this point. Then once he's calmed down do it again. If you do it fast enough he wont have a chance to go psycho and he'll start to explode from his tail up his body and die.

Least that’s how I remember it.

I thought Sega died along with the DC way back in the day?

Nope. Sega decided to stop making video game systems. They still make and develop games though, and good ones might I add.

I agree with you, Moo that Sega makes good games. In fact, Sega was one of my favourite game developers because among the games they make, there are many games of different genre that I like. Thus if I heard of a new game by Sega, I would just take a look because there is a high chance that I would like it.

I didn't know that. I've only have my PSP for a month and I just found out that you can transfer dvds onto your memory stick. www.psptransfer.com if youre interested.
If all those are your reasons for buying a PSP, you can do almost all these thing on an NDS. It can emulate all the old Nintendo and Sega systems, playing music & video, view pictures, surf the internet, challenge or transfer part of your game to another similar console user, play homebrew games, reading e-books etc. It can do almost as many things a PSP can do. It uses CF/SD (used in handphones / cameras) and flashadapter that you have to buy. The main difference between the PSP and NDS would be the PSP has a shaper bigger screen, a rotating mouse, run more applications, 2 players can play on 1 console (battle mode of Puyo Pop Fever), unlike NDS where 2 players can play only a simple game (WarioWare Touched - Ping Pong sovenier game). For NDS, it has a touched screen stylus with slight PDA function, microphone - nice for playing blowing games, calling pets as in Nintendogs and brain training game reading words.

Currently, I am enjoy my NDS Lite more and more. It's better than investing in an expensive handphone unless you use those mutimedia functions like MMS, radio & look at the person you're talking to. It's difficult to play games on a handphone using the small buttons unless you have an N-gage. The NDS Lite is not too heavy to carry around. Good for playing games and listerning to music. I haven't tried out the NDS Browser and Wifi-Connector that I bought for surfing the internet and playing multiplayer games. Next I'll probably try loading the short video clips (taken with a digital camera during my last holiday trip) for showing friends. The investment in those extra equipment can make an NDS as expensive as a PSP. Both memory sticks and SD (Secured Digital Cards) / (Compact Flash Cards) come in huge sizes (GBs) so storage space is not an issue when using a PSP or NDS.

Someone at gamespot once mentioned that if you like a mini-laptop get a PSP. So far there are some complains over the internet that I read about the defective PSP and NDS. For PSP, it is the drive getting stuck. For the NDS Lite, it is the cracked hinge. However, in both cases, they are for minor incidents.

Ultimately, it's the games you like and the types of applications that you want to run that would determine whether you want a PSP or NDS.

I'm going to build my own portable entertainment system.
It will have mega cool emulators on it. ^_^

Oh, and JKSM, for future reference, you didn't have to edit your post. Double posting in this instance is fine.

I wish you luck on that, Mr. Worm. When and if you do make one, please let us know about it. Sounds like it would be interesting.

Back on topic, I have a NDS and I love it. I mean sure, the PSP has a larger screen, ability to surf the net, and better graphics, but it has several key flaws. First, it is too expensive, in my opinion. Secondly, the system is lacking in great games. Sure, there is a fairly large library but most of the games don't seem all that appealing or are "have to get" games. Lastly, the PSP is a jack of all trades, and master of none. I think the major problem is that they focus on a whole bunch of features instead of just focusing on a few and really honing in, perfecting, or near perfecting, those few. Sure, my review is a little biased, being a NDS enthusiast that I am, but at one point I seriously sat down and compared the two before I decided on one. The NDS turned out to be a better system for me at the moment, but that doesn't mean that I have completely forgotten about getting a PSP.

I actually agree with JKSM..

Ds homebrew is not as hard to get as PSP except the fact you have to buy an adaptor.

Sony keep updating their firmware to prevent homebrew which is an ass to some people...

When N64 and PSX emulation is up and running 100% on the PSP then I guess its the best thing that will have happened in the homebrew scenes

Mario 64 works really good too
Image
is a preview of it
Its working at about 15-16fps

Noted your message Mr Worm. I also look forward to seeing photos of your portable system.

Moo, what you said is true. Personally, what made me get an NDS Lite was because of my love of Nintendo games. Otherwise I would have gotten a PSP for the application it can run. Anyway, an NDS Lite is still lighter to carry around compared to a PSP. ;) If Sega was the one manufacturing the PSP, I might have consider getting it. :D The 2 game makers that I like most of their games are Nintendo & Sega.

Thats a good point JKSM. Sony hate homebrew which is bad really.

PSP is actually a remarkable system, people are managing to hack and make their own products and programs easily.

Pushover might even be ported over soon enough. Dosbox is just not working..

PSPs are the most shitiest (sorry for swearing but they are) portable gaming console. buy a DS and get it flashed and it has more features after getting flashed and it is cheaper than the psp. psps have terrible frame rate and the pixels die out in about a few months. also the battery life is 10hrs at most DS is 20hrs hmmm something different.
DS has better games also, at the start of the topic i saw that julie124 said wario was good and it is good it isnt one of those games that keep you up for hours on end but it gives short bursts of entertainment. also TETRIS there is tetris for DS also there is talk for a phone DS where a GBA card and a DS card work together to form a phone.
and just know that i can go on forever about the psp and how the DS is supreior
One time I had a Jack and coke and it had a lime in it, And I saw that the lime was floating. That's good news man. Next time I'm on a boat and it capsizes, I'll reach for a lime... I'll be water skiing without a life preserver and people'll say 'What the hell?' and I'll pull out a lime...and a lemon too. I'm saved by the buoyancy of citrus.

DS being cheaper - I don't totally agree. The DS itself is cheaper than a PSP. However, if you buy all those external third party hardware to make it run other applications, it would cost almost as much as a PSP. Maybe it also depends which part of the world one buys these hardware.

The more popular games for DS that I had read are:
Metroid Prime: Hunters (there's a rumble pack to make the game better)
Meteos
New Super Mario Bros.
Animal Crossing WW
Advance Wars Dual Strike
Castlevania: Sorrow
Mario Kart DS
Osu Takatae Ouendan
Nintendogs

Actually it depends on what genre people like to say which DS games are better. Some like the Wifi games

So far, games that I feel that are worth my money are:
- New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS, Meteos, Wario Touched.
I'm looking forward to Mario Vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. I love Mario Vs Donkey Kong and hope this one is better with mini-games and level editor.

For New Super Mario Bros, the fun from touch mini-games are worth it already.

I never realised how much fun Mario Kart was until I played the DS version. Never played the version on the old consoles before. I used to love Wai Wai Racing for GBA but after playing Mario Kart DS, I realised that it's as much fun with some similarities. For the DS version of Mario Kart, for challenge mode, some racing courses from the Gamecube and Super Nintendo version were added in.

Meteos have good graphics and sound. At first I thought it was another one of those typical tetris like game but when I played it, I realised that it was so much more unique - making matching combinations to launch meteos into space. You won't get bored.

Wario Touched fully uses the touch screen except for the microphone games. It's fun if you like touch screen games and don't have much time to play.

Nintendogs are interesting at first using microphone to call the dog and touch screen. The quite realistic behavoiur of the dog is cute. It better than the traditional Tamagotchi. However, one may get bored with it after some time.

Osu Takatae Ouendan is nice if you like Japanese pop music and touch screen use. So far I only like the music for Exam Crisis and not the rest.

Super Mario 64 DS is quite nice 3D graphics. In fact, there are some 3D DS games that has quite good graphics. Some people have said they look as good as gamecube.

I enjoy my DS a lot. Recently, I downloaded some free ebooks for reading on DS and watched a cartoon on it (for testing) and transferred some music to it. However, PSP would be better for watching videos as it has a bigger screen. Anyway, I love my DS too much and won't trade it for a PSP. Strangely, how I've grow to like DS games that I hardly touched my GBA games. It looks good to have graphics using 2 screens that it sometimes look odd using one screen when playing GBA games. :P

Nintendo have got the concept right, sony arent there yet.

However the homebrew scene is ahead of sony on the PSP..
More homebrew games than real releases, and there are games that work cross platform (both on PSP and DS ) to have a friendly wireless match

You can play all the SCUMMVM Games on the PSP too
And megadrive, Snes, N64, Gameboy colour and advance, Quake, Doom, etc etc.

Think of the PSP as not a gaming machine, but an all in one portable computer!

it is still cheaper than a psp (i refuse to give it credit enough to be in capitals.)
also you can only run umd s from your region
