How to get Warcraft 2 to work?

Post by Blizz_Gamer »

I am trying to install my old Warcraft 2 + Warcraft 2: Beyond the dark portal and it doesnt seem to work. Every time I start it up it just sends me back to the desktop. Are there any progams that help process old data like this so it will run properly? Anyone else have a problem with an old game like this? I am running on windows XP.

Ok, so I got DOSbox and it runs the game perfectly, but the game keeps telling me I don't have my CD running in the disk tray, but I do. Is there a way to fix this? Warcraft 2 is one of those games that needs the disk to run.

No, usually people will post their question (worded extremely poorly of course with no list of what they've already attempted), question us on every single thing we suggest (where is DOSbox, where do I click to open a game) and then call us all useless and leave never to post again.

Your posts say exactly what is wrong, show you taking some initiative yourself and fixing the problem with ease. I prefer this way rather than listening "WHERE IS DOSBOX" again.
