Legend of Kyrandia 3
Legend of Kyrandia 3
Hey guys,
Can anyone tell me how to get Legend of Kryandia 3 working properly. I am running windows xp.
Btw i have been through previous posts but nothing seems to help.
During the installation of the game, i can get through the soundcard part but it gets stuck and the benchmarking of the video. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks ; )

I struggled through that one, too and now play it smoothly with VDMS. The trick is that in the beginning of the installation procedure the setup asks you for your sound config. Choose "Sound Blaster" by all means and uncheck the option at the bottom of this window where it asks you for automatic testing or so.
I never had any problem with the video installation, but maybe you just try the same stuff if something similar appears
The proceed with the installation and start the game with VDMS (where you can also choose VESA Mode - quite an old video option).
Good luck.

I have the opposite problem..
Benchmark works perfectly, video is fine, but the sound doesn't work. I have a creative sound blaster PCI in my comp, I tried using the VMDS, but I'm probably not doing it right. Anyone had the same problem and figured it out?

I had the same problem with the video benchmark.
Like the other guest said, you have to use dosbox.
First mount the directory where you installed the game on your harddisk to c:
Then mount the cd-rom drive with the game cd to drive d:
(see the other post on how to do all this)
After that run setup from the c disk. Now it can find the benchmark files on the mounted cd et voila!
Hope this helps.
