None of my games install! Help :(

Hi,

I have the three Kyrandia games and I'm desperate to play them. I have the same problem with all 3 of them which is the setup program cannot create a directory!

I mount the image in daemon tools (so it's now drive e:\). Then with dosbox I mount drive e:\ as d (mount d e:\ -t cdrom blah blah) the I run setup. Setup loads fine and I go through all the options, when it comes to installing it says it can't install.

It's "drive"-ing me bonkers!

someone please help.

never mind, sorted it now. I had to mount drive c:\ as well so it could be written to.

downloaded dosmonopoly. extracted. tried to run. only black screen came up. I'm using XP

I installed part 1 quite easily... just have to remember how, and then used VDMS on it. Runs fine. Part 2 was about the same, but I have to check.

Part 3 (Malcolm's Revenge) was the worst. It took me like 5 trials to finally get it running. Must be the game where you have the sound card installation in the beginning. Right? If so, choose "Sound Blaster" (no matter what you have, choose it) and uncheck the little test thing at the bottom of the screen.

Installation should then run.

I play all three games via VDMS without any problems at all.
