wireless network card
wireless network card
i have a CNet Wireless-G PCI Adapter. when i turn my computer on the light on this flashes, but when i get in i can only get a signal when i am 2 feet from the hub, anybody know what could be the problem?
For starters you could clean up all contacts , wires ok ?.........................
but my first thourough checkup would be the send / recieve antennas.
Your wireless seems to work, it is more a signal loss you have.
If you don't know how get someone on the spot who's having a bit more knowledge than you.
It is a bit useless to discuss this here, more than some general help is hard to give on a board.

If possible, get another computer with a wireless card (one that you know works properly) and test it with your wireless router. Or, test your computer with another wireless router. The first step should be to narrow down which is the problem: Is it the wireless card, or is it the wireless router? That should cut your work in half ... once you figure out where the problem is it'll be easier to diagnose ...
