Now you see that's the trubble with such polls.
I am using msdos7.10, win98SE and WinXp, and have W98/W95osr2 on an old HD wich I sometimes plug in when needed.
Usualy (as in now) I'm on W98SE, or WinXP. So tell me : What do I vote ?
Oh yeah: also sometimes in MSDOS6.22 or MSDOS5.................
And still have a sysbackup from W2000 laying around somewhere........
Hmmm....guess I'm most in W98SE, so give that one my vote...........

It's 6.3. I've just got the floppies and never used it. I also have Knoppix and Damn Small Linux to add to the OS list. Finally got around to giving Linux a try...With those it's as easy as Windows.dr_st wrote:Yeah, I'm familiar with PC DOS. I once had an IBM Thinkpad 80486-SX33 laptop which had PC DOS 6.3, virtually equivalent to MS-DOS 5.0. Which version of PC DOS are you using? Anything special about it?

Use what works. Hence DOS for my DOS games, Win 98SE for my daughter's Windows stuff, Win ME for my husbands games and once I pertition the HDD on the Win ME machine, Linux for me and my web surfing and other stuff.Wally*Won_Kenobie wrote:I Do use windows but i hate it..
I am a mac man.
YOu shouldnt have macintosh/other
it should be
Macintosh
Solaris
Linux
Then Dos
There's no perfect OS, only OS's more suited to some things than others.
Except for Win ME of course. It really is just crap.

Win XP because this is the OS which came with my comp. I also have a Live CD of Damn Small Linux which you download from the NET & burn to a cd & put it into your computer before you restart & when you restart your comp, the CD boots you into Linux.

Windows XP SP2.
I use to run Windows 98 and Windows 95 on the machines had I prior to this machine. And before that was running Windows 3.1 on an Amstrad 286...which was some time ago.
