As far as I know, the <a href="http://webpages.mr.net/bobz/ttyquake/">Textmode Quake</a> project thing is Linux only. If there IS a DOS port available, I'd be glad to take a look. I did find an apparent <a href="http://www.soulsphere.org/projects/smmu/">Textmode DOOM</a> but I haven't tried it out yet ... looks interesting tho (There's also Linux-only <a href="http://icculus.org/~chunky/ut/aaut/">Textmode Unreal Tournament</a> for those who are truly bored.)Darren,can't you find the text-based Quake 1?
