Help!! Name of Old 3D castle game

i am desperetaly trying to find the name of this old Castle type game i used to play. You could either play as a boy or a girl, and it was much like Wolf 3d where you would only see the kids fist, or weapon they were holding. You would search for scrolls in which you would correct the mis-spellings, and would fight spiders, trolls, collect wands and scepters, while watching out for this old, magician/wizard type character, who would throw spell books at you. Anybody have ANY idea what the name of this might be. Help!
