Is there any legal way to obtain Lucasarts classics now?

Help locating old / Pre year 2000 games you used to play.

Is there any legal way to obtain Lucasarts classics now?

Post by Mingy Jongo »

I was going to buy the classic collection with DoTT, S&M, and Fate of Atlantis, today from Lucasarts' site and had found that they are no longer selling it. I can't use eBay right now so that doesn't help, and I really want that talkie of DoTT and S&M. I am so mad right now that they took it off their site I could scream, they are one of the worst companies when it comes to presenting their classic games. They could eaisily make it a downloadable purchase on their store but noooooooo, they don't even list them in thier games section on their site and yet they're all "oh they are copyrighted and you can't download them" Where is a reliable site that I can purchase them from?

Sorry, but eBay was going to be my only other possible source for these titles.

There must be other auction sites then eBay for software titles like this one would think, but I've never really looked for them.

How about Yahoo and/or Amazon as I found some possibilities with Google ;)

People are willing to pay for old adventures. They don't sell them. Next, Sam and Max 2 and Full Throttle 2 get cancelled because their marketing departement thinks that 'It's not the time for adventures' A perfect example of hating your job. Look another crappy starwars game! :suspicious:

Well, I got my dad to use eBay and I'm going to bid on one of these: http://lucasarts.vintagegaming.org/inde ... 0and%20Sam
Only thing is it's from the UK, so it will cost more.

So? If I would buy it, it would cost me less... I'm buying a second-hand copy of Sam & Max hit the road Jack!

I was doing some house-cleaning the other day myself and came across a few plastic bags full of stuff. Well lo and behold I found my originals of Sam & Max, Full Throttle, S.W.O.T.L. and The Dig

Now to find the rest of my CD's, then I'll catalog and place them in a proper location for easier access :D
